Amazon Teams Up With Rivian to Electrify Last-Mile Deliveries
100,000 Electric Delivery Vehicles Hitting the Road by 2030
As part of its climate pledge, Amazon has partnered with Rivian to bring 100,000 electric delivery vehicles (EDVs) on the road by 2030. These custom-designed vehicles will deliver Amazon packages to customers across the US, starting with 10,000 hitting the road by the end of this year.

The Rivian EDV was engineered specifically for Amazon drivers and deliveries. Its innovative design and features aim to enhance efficiency and safety during last-mile operations.
Rollout in Major Cities
Rivian EDVs will begin delivering to Amazon customers in more than a dozen major cities, including Baltimore, Chicago, and Dallas. The rollout will continue over the coming years, expanding the reach of electric delivery vehicles and contributing to Amazon's sustainability goals.
